FAMILY NUTRITION

Feeding your children is about providing adequate nutrients for growth and development and optimizing health through healthy foods. It's also about developing age appropriate feeding and social skills, understanding the normal cycles of hunger and satiety and learning to master (or accept) a wide variety of foods. If you dread mealtimes, come and learn the simple rules that will help you reclaim your family table, provide healthy meals and make family dinners a more pleasurable experience. Marion Groetch, a Pediatric Nutritionist, holds a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition and is a recognized authority in the field of food allergies.

PREPARING FOOD FOR BABIES

Processed baby food includes trace amounts of chemicals and ingredients not beneficial to your baby's diet, including sugar, butter and salt. Making baby food at home is a simple and economical plan to provide your baby with the best in quality, nutrition and taste.  In this class, learn to make easy meals your baby will love. Three basic purees will be presented and we will
demonstrate how easily you can mix and match them. Menus include: organic sweet potato puree, organic carrot puree, organic green pea puree, Mediterranean Medley (organic carrot, small peas and couscous blend) and sweet potato and carrot blend. Yuval Tresser, executive chef and owner of La Bonne Cuisine Catering Inc. is an innovator of healthy school lunch programs and has been providing nutritious lunches to schools for over ten years. Fee includes cost of the food.

PREPARING FOOD FOR TODDLERS

Help your children eat enough of the right foods by preparing meals they'll love. We will prepare healthy recipes your toddler will enjoy, starting with a basic tomato sauce and a discussion on the many uses it has in the kitchen. Menus include pasta bolognese, baked fish fillets and chicken curry. Once you have presented your youngster with the right foods in the
right quantities, your job is done! Yuval Tresser, executive chef and owner of La Bonne Cuisine Catering Inc. is an innovator of healthy school lunch programs and has been providing nutrition lunches to schools for over ten years. Fee includes cost of food.
